Cooper Specialised Handling Ireland, the after sales arm of Cooper Specialised Handling Ireland Group welcome back an old friend who first joined the business back in 2008.
Noel Gottsch, based out of Northamptonshire was a popular member of the team and built great relationships with both his peers and customers in his 4-years with Coopers. In 2012, he was lured away to the lucrative developing market in West Africa where his skills on Konecranes products came to good use for the dealer there based in Nigeria. During his time away, Noel was posted on specific term contracts in Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon essentially dealing with all manner of port handling equipment which enhanced his considerable knowledge base further. He also spent one year out working in the mining industry, also in Ghana.
With his family remaining in Northamptonshire throughout this time, Noel has opted to return home and stay home, and Coopers were only too pleased to re-employ him. Luke Maslin, Operations Director commented that “Noel was always very popular with our customers and so it required little thought to ‘snap-up’ a quality engineer with his knowledge, experience and straightforward way with customers”
For Noel he remarked “I was always happy working for Coopers and, in the 7 years away, my time here was never forgotten”. In the time he was away, there have been many changes not least the introduction of multi-brands demanding multi-skills rather than sole representation. Noel himself has noticed “The Company is considerably busier than the one he left back in 2012”
Welcome back Noel – we can’t promise you the tropical weather of West Africa, but the Cooper team is stronger with you in it!
